Book Babies Story Time
Bubbles, rhymes, and books--oh my! You won’t want to miss Book Babies Story Time at Huntsville Public Library. This program is a story time designed for children ages two years and under. Enjoy this early literacy initiative at 10:45 a.m. on Mondays in the Rex Children’s Room. Sign-up is not required. Preschool Story Time
- Wednesdays, Fridays at 10:45 a.m., and select Saturdays at 1 p.m.
Every Wednesday and Friday morning, Story Hour is presented for young children. This complimentary program promotes emergent reading skills for preschool-aged children. Preschool Story Hour includes:
- Craft activity
- Dance
- Finger plays
- Songs
- Stories
Occasionally, the library will cancel Story Time in advance due to scheduling conflicts or holidays. If you would like to receive an email regarding planned cancellations for this program, please call the Library.
Evening Story Time
Come to Evening Story Time - a fun, early literacy program for kids eight and under. Join us for interactive stories, songs, rhymes, and crafts. The early literacy practices featured each week help build a foundation for the lifelong love of reading and learning. For parents and caregivers, Story Time offers an opportunity to experience early literacy strategies in action, discover great books and resources for home use, and socialize with other parents afterward. Saturday Family Read-Along
Introducing our Saturday Family Read-Along! Join us on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month at 10:45 a.m. . We will be reading together from chapter books, interactive stories, and share some craft activities. This monthly event is open to school-age children who want to discover great books, read together, share resources for home use, and socialize with other local families. Registration is not required.
