  1. Earth Day Story Walk

    April 22, 2021, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM @ Eastham-Thomason Park

The Huntsville Public Library will be hosting a Story Walk at 10:30 am on April 22, 2021 in Eastham-Thomason Park. A Story Walk is an educational activity in which a children’s book is enlarged and printed along the walkway. As families walk through Eastham-Thomason Park (1500 7th St.), they will be directed to the next page in the story, available in both English and Spanish. At the end, families will find take-home kits with seeds, pots, and soil provided by The Home Depot (while supplies last) so they can enjoy a hands-on experience with the concept of growing plants. This socially distanced program is especially suited for ages 5-9 and is an excellent opportunity for families to spend time together outside and embrace learning while getting their hands dirty.
