The Huntsville Fire Marshal’s Division is a key component of the Huntsville Fire Department, tasked with managing fire department training, emergency management, fire code enforcement, and investigating all fire causes within the City of Huntsville. The division's responsibilities include public information dissemination, periodic fire and life safety inspections of existing commercial buildings, new commercial construction plan review and inspections, fire origin and cause investigations, and arson investigations. The Fire Chief assigns all personnel to the Fire Marshal’s Division, with four personnel currently assigned to the Division.
The goal of the Fire Marshal's Division is to prevent injury, loss of life, and property damage for the citizens of Huntsville and its guests through thorough investigation and rigorous code enforcement.
