Councilmember Vicki McKenzie is a dedicated public servant with deep roots in Texas. McKenzie was born in Houston, raised in Montgomery County, and since moved to Huntsville where she has called home since 2018. McKenzie's family is the core of her life, she is married to Corby McKenzie and they are blesses with five children and two grandchildren. In the eyes of Councilmember McKenzie a perfect day is when her family can all gather together and make memories. Many of their family memories are made at events hosted by the City of Huntsville.
McKenzie's commitment to community service was inspired by her Granny Joy, a compassionate soul who built a library in her small Oklahoma town and is a women ready to help anyone in need. Drawing from 30 years of customer service and leadership experience in retail management McKenzie has transitioned to real estate at Coldwell Banker. Her career is driven by a passion to build strong relationships and to provide quality homes to clients.
Since being elected in 2020 McKenzie has had goals of enhancing the livability of the City of Huntsville, fostering excellence in city services, and nurturing highly effective public safety programs. She also focuses on embracing the diversity of our community, creating a vibrant atmosphere, having a safe place to raise a family, as well as having thriving retirement communities. McKenzie is dedicated to preserving the small-town charm and historic legacy.
