Entrance
Eastham-Thomason Park has two entrances, 1500 7th Street and N Avenue as well as Mesquite Drive off of M Avenue (FM 247).
Eastham-Thomason Park was completed in December of 1993. This development was through a grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department with 48.25 acres of land within the boundaries of the park. A donation of 33.45 acres of land from the estate of Marguerite Eastham-Thomason along with the existing 14.8 acres allows room for a playground with equipment, an unlighted basketball court, picnic tables, grills, a restroom, and parking lot. A lighted 0.4 mile trail with two footbridges will guide visitors through the natural landscaping of the park. Entrances to the park are off of 7th Street and west off of Avenue M (FM 247) onto Mesquite. Additional 45.5 acres had been acquired by the City for future expansion. The park consists of 142 total acres. There is a designated wild flower area and several foot trails for bird watchers in the natural section of EasthamThomason Park. This Park features a nine-hole Frisbee golf course and will be the home of our new aquatic center. Although there are several, the main 911 address is 1500 7th street.
