HUNTSVILLE – Weather permitting, there will be a full closure of IH 45 southbound in Huntsville beginning 9 p.m. tonight, April 2, 2025, through 5 a.m. on Thursday, April 3.
The closure is necessary to perform maintenance striping on the IH 45 southbound main lanes. During this time, traffic will be detoured off IH 45 southbound at Exit 113 onto the service road. Drivers will be able to re-enter IH 45 southbound via the entrance ramp located across from Huntsville Toyota.
Message boards will be placed along the route to notify drivers of the closure in advance. Law enforcement officers will also be present to assist with traffic flow during the closure. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow for additional travel time.
