Are you looking to escape the big box stores for fresh produce? Then Huntsville Main Street has what you are looking for.
The Huntsville Downtown Farmers Market will feature fresh produce and artisan goods every Saturday beginning May 23 and continuing through July from 8 a.m. to noon, on University Avenue near Rather Park. Many downtown shops and eateries are also open for your shopping enjoyment. Spend your summer Saturday mornings in downtown Huntsville.
“The type of items you can expect to find at the Huntsville Farmers Market are fresh produce, jams, jellies, natural bath and beauty products,” said Main Street Coordinator Tracy Chappell. “We do want the public to know that there will be measures in place to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.”
Chappell said the guidelines include NOT attending if you have any symptoms of illness; maintaining social distancing - spaces will be marked in front of each vendor and open space will be left between vendors; bring an assortment of cash to minimize interactions - some vendors do accept credit cards; no handling of products - vendors will place items in your bag or provide one for you; and face masks are recommended.
