Picture Book Creation Competition Begins

An event for all ages. The Huntsville Public Library is sponsoring a Children’s Picture Book Creation Competition. This event will be divided into four specific age groups with a winner being selected from each group. Group 1 is ages 5-8; Group 2 is ages 9-12; group 3 is ages 13- 17; and group 4 is age 18+. Blank books will be available at the library beginning on June 15. Completed picture books will be due on June 29 by 6 p.m. Winners will be selected on July 13th. Beginner Microsoft Excel Classes

Need a way to keep track of your schedule or budget? Have you been meaning to learn Microsoft Excel but don’t know where to start? Learn how to organize your data by attending Huntsville Public Library’s free Microsoft Excel classes for beginners. Classes will be offered on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. June dates are June 8, 15, 22, and 29. Topics to be covered will include creating files, data entry, cell formatting, formulas, and manipulating a finished table. Adults 18 years and older can register for classes.
