Come to Story Time, a fun early literacy program for kids six and under. Join us for interactive stories, songs, rhymes, and crafts. The early literacy practices featured each week help build a foundation for the lifelong love of reading and learning. For parents and caregivers, Story Time offers an opportunity to experience early literacy strategies in action, discover great books and resources for home use, and socialize with other parents afterward. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday sessions all share a theme with something new and exciting each week. Sign up is not required. Story Time is held Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m., and Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:45 a.m. in the Staggs Community Room.

Ever wondered how 3D printing works? Want to take a crack at making your own 3D model? Huntsville Public Library is offering two 3D printing classes during the month of July. Participants will learn to make a 3D model in Tinkercad and their model will be printed by library staff. Staff will notify participants via phone and/or email when their print is ready to pick up. A teen 3D printing class for ages 12-17 will take place in the Rex Children’s room on Monday, August 22 from 5-6 pm. A 3D printing class for patrons 18 and over will be offered in the Adult Computer Lab on Friday, August 26 from 5-6 pm.

Teens, are you looking to explore new books and different genres of literature? Come to the Young Adult Book Club at Huntsville Public Library. Whether you like stories of adventure or just relatable stories about other teens, there will be something for you! Young Adult Book Club is best suited for ages 14 to 18 and will meet at 5 p.m. on Friday, August 12 and 26. Our upcoming selection is Iron Widow. Didn’t read the book? Come anyway!
