    Be part of the adult book club at the Huntsville Public Library! All interested persons are welcome to join in the fun from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Book clubs are an excellent way to enjoy books, challenge one’s mind, and socialize with other book lovers! Have fun reading a wide variety of books, making friends, meeting like-minded people and stimulating the brain cells!

  2. Lineage Society Workshop

    The Huntsville Public Library will host its 30th annual Lineage Society Workshop on Thursday, June 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the public is encouraged to attend. The workshop will be held in the Staggs Community Room and participants will receive assistance in preparation of lineage applications to any patriotic or lineage society (women and men). Attendees will have an hour for independent lunch from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The workshop is taught by Johnnie Jo Sowell Dickenson, Professional Genealogist, and is sponsored by the Mary Martin Elmore Scott Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Huntsville Public Library. Due to Covid-19 concerns, please be advised that the event is subject to cancellation.

  3. Free Basic Computer Classes

    Want to get more comfortable with computers or update your skills? If so, then register for our Free Basic Computer Classes held at the Huntsville Public Library. Classes will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesdays and 5 to 6 p.m. Thursdays in June. These classes will discuss using the mouse, typing, emailing, and Internet browsing. Class size is limited, and registration is required. A library card is needed to participate in the classes. If you don’t have a card, bring your ID. Adults 17 and older can register for classes.
