The City of Huntsville assures residents of its plans to continue providing a regular safe drinking water supply and wastewater services, even if power is lost locally.
The City has back-up generators and redundant pumping capacity to facilitate normal water pressure, as does the City's plant at the Trinity River Authority. Residents are able to use water as normal, including for household uses, drinking and food preparation, and bathing.
Wastewater should also function as normal for tubs, sinks, and toilets. Should any changes occur, the City will notify the media and provide notification through the website and social media sites.
