The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) is investigating a shooting which has resulted in the death of 20-year-old Hoveaire Demontrae Easley.
On November 19, 2015, officers with the Huntsville Police Department responded to a shooting call at a residence in the 600 block of Avenue G. Once on scene, officers discovered Easley had been shot. Despite life-saving efforts by HPD Officer Cody Perkins and personnel with the Huntsville/Walker County EMS, Easley was pronounced dead at Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
Detectives with the Huntsville Police Department responded to the scene and spoke with numerous witnesses, and learned that an altercation had occurred between the victim, Easley, and Treveon Deon Williams, a 19-year-old male. During the altercation, witnesses said, Williams pulled a handgun and shot Easley twice.
The Huntsville Police Department currently has a Murder Warrant for Treveon Deon Williams and is actively seeking his whereabouts.

On Sunday, November 22, 2015, at approximately 5:15 p.m., the murder suspect, Treveon Deon Williams, turned himself in to the Walker County Jail without incident. The investigation is ongoing.
