Master Gardeners

Monday, February 19, 2024

Huntsville Public Library is pleased to host the Walker County Master Gardeners “So You Want to Grow Roses?” workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19 in the Library’s Staggs Community Room. Gail Warren and Rhonda Hanks, two veteran Master Gardeners, will discuss how to grow, prune, and care for roses. One of the world’s oldest and most popular blooms, roses have been cultivated for thousands of years for herbal and medicinal uses. Texas Master Gardeners are members of the local community who have completed the Texas Master Gardener training program in Walker County. The Walker County AgriLife Extension Office offers this program to the community. The group is committed to educating others in the community about a variety of horticulture-related topics.
