Get fit while you sit with Sittercise! Start 2018 off with a new exercise program being offered from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning January 9th at the Huntsville Public Library in conjunction with Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Sittercise is designed to help those who are aging and/or dealing with chronic and other illnesses. It focuses on strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, endurance, and overall improved function. Please consult your doctor before starting any new exercise program. Liability waivers are required to participate and are available from the instructor. The class is free and open to adults ages 18 and older. Boost your computer knowledge with Intermediate Computer Classes hosted by the Huntsville Public Library! Classes will be weekly on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. starting April 3 in the Adult Computer Lab. These hour long classes will feature how to create and save files, move files into folders, delete file types, and download files and programs. Class size is limited and registration is required. A library card is needed to participate in the classes. If you don’t have a card, bring your ID! If you answered yes, then come to the Social Media Class from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays in April at the Huntsville Public Library! Learning how to use social media sites could help improve both your technology and networking skills. The four networks that will be taught are Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest. Facebook is a social networking website where people can connect with friends and family around the world; LinkedIn is like Facebook, but for the business community; YouTube is a video-sharing website; and Pinterest is an application designed to find and discover ideas for anything.
