This contest is open for students aged 5-18, and the deadline to submit is Friday, February 23, 2018. Winners will be formally announced at the Artwork Unveiling Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018. Come to the library to pick up your entry form and contest rules today! Get fit while you sit with Sittercise! Start 2018 off with a new exercise program being offered from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning January 9th at the Huntsville Public Library in conjunction with Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Sittercise is designed to help those who are aging and/or dealing with chronic and other illnesses. It focuses on strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, endurance, and overall improved function. Please consult your doctor before starting any new exercise program. Liability waivers are required to participate and are available from the instructor. The class is free and open to adults ages 18 and older. Bring your ancestry “puzzle pieces” to the Huntsville Public Library’s free genealogy workshop, “Working Your Genealogy Puzzle,” and let us help you put it together from 3 pm to 5 pm Thursdays beginning. Johnnie Jo Dickenson will guide participants researching their family history using investigative tools such as online databases, resources, and the library’s extensive genealogy collection.
